Tire Engineers began on March 9, 1948 as a tire recapping shop giving one day service.  Johnny Johnston, the original owner, opened with two employees.  In those days all of the work was done outside.  Now 55 year later, Tire Engineers is still located at 32nd Street 6th Avenue South and there is still a Johnston owner, Fred.  The Vice President of Sales is a third generation Johnston, Michael. Tire Engineers is a member of the elite group of American Car Care Dealers known as Tire Pros. Tire Engineers has added Tire Engineers Too across the street from its original location.  Tire Engineers Too specializes in quick oil changes, tire rotation, wheel balance, and transmission services. Tire Engineers is a family owned and operated business that has the motto of "If we don’t take care of the customer, someone else will."
